National Standards for Counselling and Psychotherapy to be established

PACFA is pleased to be advising the Department of Health on the establishment of national standards for counselling and psychotherapy following the allocation of 300k over two years in the recent federal Budget.

The problem of unregistered practitioners

PACFA has recently been notified of a number of discussions on social media encouraging Counsellors and Psychotherapists to practice without registration.

Expressions of Interest invited

Join the Special Interest Group dedicated to infants, children and young people, open to any member who works therapeutically with children (0-11 years) and young people (12-25 years).

My PACFA membership gives me a sense of community, of connection to colleagues and a space for professional belonging and identity. PACFA and its members provide support when I need it, whether it is ethical advice, a high standard of registration and training and professional recognition, access to private health rebates, friendship and sharing of professional knowledge, referral of clients, accessible, affordable and high quality CPD, and the collegiality to sustain the work we do.
