A Conversation with Somatic Psychotherapist, Author and Movement Teacher - Melissa Cosby - Operating in and between fields

Following on from the terrific presentation by Anne De Silva on personalising your practice, you now have the opportunity to participate in a conversation with another somatic practitioner. 

Melissa will be chatting with Veronik about working at the interface of movement from a functional health perspective and Psychotherapy.
She will take us into her world where clients with functional issues including pain and performance problems can see their mind in their movements and where she introduces clients presenting with what they believe to be strictly mental issues to an understanding of whole body health.

There is also an invitation from Melissa for us personally as practitioners to look at health services outside of our own realm so that we can give our clients a broader palate as part of their process. The session will include an embodied practice, Q & A and clinical examples.

Melissa is an integrative, multidisciplinary somatic psychotherapy practitioner. It is Melissa’s passionate belief that being a broadly studied, skilled and tooled practitioner provides the best opportunities to meet the nuanced individual needs of clients. Offering a combination of pragmatic, practical strategies, together with a space in which clients can take time to unfold the slower and more tender issues, Melissa’s practice now focuses on helping clients manage stress, anxiety, overwhelm and chronic pain.
