Online Therapy Basics Webinar - Recording

So many counsellors and therapists are being asked to provide an online service to clients who wish to transition to online therapy and many new clients will want to begin therapy online. So, what could possibly go wrong? How hard can it be?

Delivering a safe, quality and ethical therapy service online requires understanding the differences between the face to face and the online space. It also requires a confidence with the technology and an understanding of the importance of secure connectivity.

Log on and find out how:
• The online space can impact the therapeutic relationship both positively and negativity.
• How do you assess for client suitability for online therapy?
• Which digital modes are you willing to work with?
• What are the new ethical considerations to be aware of?
• What new boundaries need to be set up?
• How does your online counselling contract need to be different from what you use f2f?

This workshop is an introduction to basics of safe and ethical delivery of online therapy and counselling services. It does not replace the PACFA intensive 4-part course, “How to provide Counselling and Psychotherapy using Online Technologies”.

Fiona Griffith, who authored and facilitates this course for PACFA, will take you through the essential elements of providing an online counselling service.
