Canberra and Region

The Canberra and Region Branch officially commenced operating on 1 July 2016.

Individual members of PACFA in Canberra and the surrounding region receive automatic membership of the Canberra and Region Branch with their PACFA membership.

A Leadership Group (below) has been established to lead the Branch and to plan activities for members, which will include:

  • Providing continuing professional development
  • Providing opportunities for networking and peer support
  • Undertaking local outreach
  • Promoting PACFA to local education providers and students
  • Building a vibrant community of practitioners in a particular geographic area
  • Providing opportunities for practitioners in regional and rural areas to participate

Canberra and Region Leadership Group

Donna McMillan has been practising counselling since 2016. She specialises in relationships, specifically working with couples and parents. She has broad experience locally and internationally, having lived overseas as an expatriate. She is also culturally sensitive and has a deep understanding on the role of culture for both individuals and couples. She uses an integrative approach to counselling and works with her clients' unique needs. She holds a Bachelor's Degree of Science (Psychology) and Masters of Counselling from the University of Canberra. She is in private practice on the Kingston Foreshore in Canberra.

Frances Killaly works at a counsellor for Dementia Australia in the ACT. She works with people living with dementia and their carers, and with couples and families.
