Vic Gov Financial Assistance Announcement

As you may be aware the Victorian Government has announced some financial support for eligible businesses through Business Costs Assistance Program Round Two. PACFA has reviewed the public information available to provide some information to consider around this. This information is provided by PACFA in good faith, based on current information and general in nature – please seek clarification from your accountant or business advisor.

  1. All assistance is only for businesses who cannot work remotely and incur business costs. As many counsellors and psychotherapists are seeing patients via telehealth they would not be eligible.
  2. Eligibility is determined by your ANZSIC code – this is allocated based on information provided when registering your business. Check your paperwork and compare to the list provided.
  3. Eligibility is also dependent on being registered for the GST.

PACFA has written to the Minister for Small Business requesting greater clarification around eligibility. Any response will be shared online.
