headspace revises ‘appropriately qualified’ clinician list

PACFA has been advocating to headspace National Youth Mental Health Foundation about the high standards of PACFA member counsellors and psychotherapists and their availability to support the immense demand for headspace’s services.

In September headspace sent to its centres around Australia information about PACFA members, advising that counsellors and psychotherapists who have met the following training requirements can be considered for employment as a headspace clinician:

minimum Bachelor or Masters level qualification in counselling

minimum 2 years post qualification counselling experience, including minimum 750 client contact hours (statutory declaration required for client contact hours).

minimum of 75 hours professional supervision
