PACFA members, sign up for our Member Forum on 5 April, 6pm

For years, professional bodies representing counsellors and psychotherapists have been advocating for access to Medicare rebates. Trust us, we’ve still got the dusty files.

PACFA will continue to advocate for Medicare rebate access, and this is one of the key policies we’re asking candidates to adopt in the lead-up to the 2022 Federal Election. But many counsellors and psychotherapists would be familiar with ‘perseveration’ – repetitive behaviour born of an inability to switch ideas or responses appropriately.  Well, if peak bodies for counsellors and psychotherapists have been saying the same thing for years and people aren’t listening, PACFA believes it’s time to change things up.

We have a different strategy for seeking Medicare access. We also want more than Medicare access.

More recognition for PACFA members’ high-level training and experience.

More recognition within the allied and mental health workforce.

More employment within multidisciplinary teams.

We’ll be sharing our strategic roadmap with members at our Member Forum with President Di Stow and CEO Johanna de Wever on 5 April, 6pm.

This is a members-only event - please check your email for the registration link.
