About me

My practice
Aarthi is a registered Clinical Counsellor with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA).

She brings over 5 years of experience working directly with clients from diverse backgrounds. Aarthi has supported individuals and families experiencing concerns related to domestic and family violence, trauma, grief and loss, child welfare and wellbeing, relationship breakdown, as well as depression, anxiety, and a range of other mental health challenges.

Aarthi now offers services under Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) and Workers Compensation, providing support for clients navigating workplace-related stress, injury recovery, and return-to-work transitions.

Fluent in English and Tamil, Aarthi has extensive experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities. She adopts a warm, non-judgemental approach and is committed to creating a safe and inclusive space for all clients.

Her practice is grounded in trauma-informed, strengths-based, and outcomes-focused frameworks. Aarthi provides person-centred care, tailoring each session to meet the unique needs and goals of the individual.

Her therapeutic approaches are evidence-based and include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), as well as creative and play therapy techniques.

“As a counsellor, I believe it is important to be empathetic and supportive. I strive to provide a safe place where clients can freely discuss their concerns, whilst also reflecting upon their strengths and motivations for change.” – Aarthi
