About me

My practice
My therapeutic approach is trauma and attachment informed and deeply respectful of each person's unique process and needs at the time. I work both in person and online. Although sessions are rooted in a process oriented psychology (process work) approach, I also bring two decades of personal and professional lived experience in expressive arts (voice and movement), community cultural development (disability and mental health), education, mindfulness, meditation and nature based wisdom teachings. I am also experienced in the acute trauma, palliative care, grief and loss space through working in a hospital setting on their spiritual care team. I view working with the inner life of a person as an honour and a privilege. My approach is compassionate, creative and collaborative. My role is a facilitator, companion and ally. I bring an attitude of respect, non-judgement, compassion and openness to your experience, values and world views. In our work together I will treat you as resourceful and capable and support you to deepen your awareness and understanding of your life experiences, internal world and inner wisdom.

Depth psychotherapy sessions are adapted to your needs and may include a combination of talking about what’s happening for you as well as exploring challenges and difficulties through a range of body centred and creative awareness processes that emerge and unfold at the time. All aspects and parts of your experience are welcomed and viewed as potentially meaningful, valuable and useful. This approach can support you to understand and reclaim parts of yourself that have been abandoned or marginalised in ways that are meaningful and supportive for you.
