About me

My practice
I am a clinical counsellor and somatic psychotherapist with special interest in supporting persons who navigate through trauma recovery whether it is complex (developmental) trauma or a single incident trauma. I have also experience in working with clients facing relationship issues, grief and loss, anxiety, depression and adult neurodivergent issues (especially ADHD and AuDHD).

As a therapist I offer a person-centered, integrative approach depending on what works best for my client. My work is informed by attachment, trauma and Polyvagal theories and can be somatically oriented. I offer EMDR and Somatic Experiencing (SE Practitioner), in which I am fully trained. I also draw upon mindfulness-based approaches, Schema Therapy, Existential Therapy, and Emotion-Focused Therapy.

I have had an honour of working as a mental health practitioner for the past 20 years. During this time I have worked in the public and private mental health sector as a Mental Health Occupational Therapist, Counsellor and Psychotherapist. I have experience in working with adolescents, adults and couples from diverse cultural backgrounds and all walks of life. Living in 4 continents through my life has helped me confirm that fundamentally we have more similarities than differences. We all seek to fulfill the basic need for safety, connection, positive regard, empathy, validation and nurturance. These are the qualities that are utmost important to me for my clients to experience in therapeutic process.
