Kerryn Knight, founder of Empowered Art Therapy, Kindred Art Space, Art Therapist, Clinical Counsellor, and Supervisor empowers you to gain clarity and make positive changes in a creative and culturally appropriate manner through specialist creative inquiry; counseling and psychotherapeutic processes.

Kerryn's creative approach empowers you to gain a different perspective on issues to make meaning and find solutions. The emphasis is on the process and not an artistic outcome. This enables you to draw out clarity and confidence to bring about emotional, spiritual, and mindful wellbeing for you, your Community Group, Team, or Organisation.

Kerryn’s formal qualifications include Masters of Arts in Therapeutic Practice, Diploma of Transpersonal Art Therapy; Adv. Diploma of Business (Accounting); Certificate of Supervision; Certificate IV Workplace Training and Assessment and Sandplay Therapy Master Practitioner.

Before commencing her Art Therapy private practice in 2008, Kerryn became an accidental counsellor as a retail business owner some 20 years prior where her passion for the therapeutic relationship began. She has also held management positions in the marketing and community services industries.
Kerryn’s unique background in business management, coupled with a creative transpersonal approach enables her to provide you with individual and group sessions for Personal & Professional Development.

Developing and facilitating unique programs, Kerryn supports fellow Therapists and Counsellors build and embody their practice and also facilitating Rite-Of-Passage programs for youth from various cultural backgrounds.

Kerryn draws on tools she has gained through the depth of her rich tapestry of lived experience combined with her professional qualifications and experience to understand and walk beside you on your journey through life issues. She finds that people warm to her ability to establish rapport and build trust in the safe and nurturing space she creates and provides for You at Kindred Art Space, her specialist Centre for mental health in Frankston on Melbourne's Mornington Peninsula.
