About me

My practice
Li is a registered counsellor from the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) and a certified career counsellor. She has a dual career path in counselling psychology and commerce, holding a Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in psychology, counselling and commerce. She received systematic training in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. She prefers an integrative approach that incorporates humanistic philosophy. She meets clients on a heart-to-heart level, understanding their concerns, helping them develop effective coping strategies, and creating the space to heal and grow.

Additionally, Li was born in Shanghai and moved to Australia in high school. Her cross-cultural background, corporate experience, and counselling speciality made her unique and well-suited for cross-cultural, self-exploration, personal growth, emotion management and relationship counselling. She values authenticity and genuineness. She believes everyone holds a shining pearl inside, but it is covered with “dust,” as we often restrict ourselves by perceptive limitations and emotional distress.

She aims to utilise her diversified experiences to help clients develop new perspectives on their issues, cultivate resilience to better cope with struggles, and explore the richness inside to live a more peaceful and fulfilling life. Her goal is that counselling will assist clients in learning to remove the “dust” and uncover the shininess of the internal pearl.
