About me

My practice
I am a registered Clinical Counsellor, who has worked in both private practice and the school setting for over a decade - specializing in the well-being of children and adolescents during their crucial developmental stages. My mission is to make a positive impact on young lives by collaboratively navigating challenges and fostering resilience. In my practice, I embrace a child-centric and evidence-based approach, ensuring that each intervention is uniquely tailored to the needs of young minds.

My goal is to create a safe and engaging space where children and adolescents can explore their emotions and build essential life skills. Rooted in Positive Psychology, my focus is on promoting the well-being of young individuals by accentuating their strengths and what makes them uniquely wonderful. Rather than framing challenges as "mental illness," I emphasize optimism, emotional intelligence, internal motivation, and happiness. For my younger clients, I utilize creative and playful therapeutic methods:

Narrative/Storytelling Play Therapy: Engaging children through imaginative stories and narratives.
Puppet Play: Facilitating expression and communication through puppet interactions.
Art and Sand Play: Providing a non-verbal outlet for expression through drawings and sand play.

Solution-Focused Therapy: Setting achievable goals and cultivating a positive future outlook.
Partnering with Families I specialize in family mediation, ensuring a collaborative approach that involves and supports parents and caregivers in the therapeutic process.

Embark on a journey of growth, self-discovery, and resilience tailored for the unique needs of children and adolescents. If you're seeking compassionate support, let's connect.
