My practice
Welcome!
I'm Alda Curtis, a compassionate, client-centred counsellor dedicated to supporting individuals on their journey toward healing, growth, and self-understanding.
With a Bachelor of Social Work, a Master of Counselling & Psychotherapy, and a Master of International Relations, I bring a unique blend of clinical expertise, cultural sensitivity, and life experience to my practice. I’m also a Certified Life Coach and an ADHD Certified Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP).
My approach is integrative and grounded in evidence-based frameworks, thoughtfully tailored to meet each client’s unique needs. I have undertaken extensive training in a variety of therapeutic modalities, including:
- Person-Centred Therapy
- Strengths-Based Approach
- Solution-Focused Brief Therapy
- Trauma-Informed Practice
- Mindfulness-Based Interventions
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
- Psychodynamic Approaches
- Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)
- Crisis Intervention
I work with adolescents, adults, and families navigating a wide range of life challenges — from ADHD, anxiety, trauma, grief, and depression, to relationship issues, identity development, life transitions, and cross-cultural adjustment.
With decades of experience in social work, mental health, community development, and case management, I offer a safe, inclusive, and non-judgmental space for all clients — especially those from diverse, neurodivergent, and marginalised backgrounds.
Whether you’re seeking clarity, emotional support, or personal transformation, I am here to walk alongside you with confidentiality, empathy, insight, and respect.
