About me

My practice
Natalie completed her Bachelor of Science (Psychology) at The University of Sydney, Master of Counselling at The University of Queensland and is registered with Australian Counselling Association (ACA) as a level 3 counsellor. In addition to her role at Wellbeing in Mind, Natalie works as an Adolescent and Family Counsellor at an NGO.

Natalie is a warm and collaborative counsellor who works with young people, adults, and families. She is passionate about supporting individuals to build self-awareness, navigate life’s challenges, and move towards meaningful change. Natalie takes an individualised approach to therapy, drawing on client’s strengths and tailoring her work to meet their unique needs and goals.

Natalie integrates a range of evidence-based approaches in her practice, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), self-compassion, and mindfulness. She also incorporates systemic and relational perspectives in her work with families, and offers brief family interventions to improve communication and support young people within their family environment.

She has a particular interest in supporting neurodiverse young people and their families, and has extensive experience working with concerns such as anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, grief and loss, and substance use. Natalie is trained in the Group Triple P parenting program and brings a culturally sensitive lens to her work with clients from diverse backgrounds.
