About me

My practice
I am a certified practicing Gestalt counsellor and psychotherapist, and a professionally registered Art Therapist. I have been supporting clients to improve their mental health and wellbeing for 10 years.

The world of creativity captives me and a PhD in Visual Art and a Master's of Art Therapy has taught me how art materials and processes can support clients to find their voice through self-expression.

My therapeutic approach has been enriched by a four year Gestalt Therapy course at Gestalt Therapy Australia and I have training in EMDR and Schema Therapy.

I have a deep trust of the therapeutic process and believe in the capacity of clients to develop awareness of their strengths, recognise unhelpful patterns and resolve difficulties to live a more meaningful and fulfilling life.

I value a respectful, relational, therapeutic relationship that cherishes each client’s unique situation, story and potential.

I draw on a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches and work collaboratively with my clients towards understanding, meeting, and reassessing therapeutic goals.

My area of interest is in Mental Health. I have worked with a wide range of clients experiencing anxiety and depression, grief and loss, stress and isolation, the impact of complex trauma and PTSD on their life, perinatal mental health and women’s mental health. I also work with clients who have been impacted by a cancer diagnosis.
