About me

My practice
Adam Wiltshire is a highly regarded, passionate, and impactful counsellor who has been in practice for many years. He is known for his warm and compassionate temperament that helps his clients to feel comfortable in sessions. Adam meets each client where they are in their life right now and is sensitive to their unique needs and concerns. He is committed to helping clients achieve their goals and desired outcomes from counselling.

Counselling with Adam helps clients to slowly move towards feeling more inner-strength, resilience, and purpose. Adam’s approach to counselling and psychotherapy is broad, considering each client’s current issues and concerns within the broader context of their life. He also employs a somatic and body-based approach that pays attention to what clients communicate both verbally and non-verbally. This helps to get to the heart of the matter more quickly, while also helping clients to cultivate more insight, self-knowledge, and perspective.

With his primary counselling modality being Gestalt psychotherapy, Adam is knowledgeable and skilled in helping his clients raise their level of self-awareness through becoming present and more aware of their feelings, emotions, and thoughts. Adam helps clients to explore how these are currently showing up and affecting them in their life and the ways they may be limiting their ability to make choices, decisions, and feel a sense of agency in how to move forward. Sessions with Adam also help clients to become more accepting of themselves, to cultivate a kinder inner voice, and to feel more supported and empowered in their day-to-day life.
