About me

My practice
Gabriel is a Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician and a certified Severe and Enduring Anorexia Nervosa Clinician, now practicing as part of the multidisciplinary team at Biio. She is currently undertaking her PhD with the School of Psychology at Western Sydney University, focusing on the Barriers and Facilitators to Care in Severe and Enduring or Longstanding Eating Disorders: The Roles of Stigma, Trauma, and Systemic Exclusion.

Gabriel offers a person-centred approach and is passionate about working with clients in a respectful, individualised, and holistic manner. Her work is grounded in neuro-affirming, trauma-informed care principles, and she draws on her clients’ strengths to explore issues and provide support. She has a special interest in eating disorders that intersect with neurodivergence (such as ADHD and Autism) and chronic health conditions like the POTS–MCAS–EDS triad, taking an integrative, physiology-aware approach to client health.

At Biio, she works within a collaborative practice model, allowing for close partnership with a multidisciplinary team to support clients with co-occurring psychological and physiological needs. This environment enables her to deepen her focus on the complex origins of eating behaviours and provide truly coordinated care.

She offers counselling and therapy for a variety of clientele, with a special interest in longstanding disorders. Gabriel also has experience in perfectionism, anxiety, PTSD and complex trauma. She has an integrative therapy approach, and draws upon schema therapy and inner child work, as well as developing self-compassion strategies.

Gabriel has lived experience of recovering from an eating disorder and draws upon that experience to help people understand the origins of their eating disorder, the purpose it serves, and begin to explore life without eating disorder behaviours.

Gabriel is passionate about giving back to the eating disorder sector and has sat on various advisory committees to advocate for greater support and access, as well as presenting at community and health events.
