About me

My practice
My desire is to help people bring change to their lives, to affirm them, and to help them overcome difficulties that life circumstances bring. I want to empower people to be able to see with clarity what needs to be seen and understood in order to help build positive change.

Drawing from my own life's experiences of family, having worked as a critical care nurse, involvement in cultural and faith communities, marriage, and parenting three children, I recognise first of all, the need for support and a listening ear.

As well, I work collaboratively with clients, integrating specific therapies which are personalised in individual and couples counselling situations. Treatment involves understanding your experiences and identifying patterns to bring greater self-awareness, and developing new ways of responding to foster stronger relationships. The expectation is a clearer sense of direction and empowerment.

You may want to:- learn how to manage feelings, manage your thought life, gain back control after a traumatic incident, relate better to people, be more at ease with yourself and life, process regrets of the past or anxieties of the future, process past experiences which are affecting the present, navigate the overwhelming sadness of loss, have tools to navigate healthy and safe relationships, learn effective communication skills with family and others, explore who you are and what you want in life, have trust and intimacy restored in a relationship, explore life's issues of spirituality….etc. If so, I would be delighted to walk the journey with you!
