About me

My practice
I'm here to help you find peace and to feel at ease in your life. My clients often tell me that I'm easy to talk to and help them to feel an immediate sense of calm. This may explain why so many have been able to share with me their painful memories, for the first time, in safety and without judgement. Together we will create a plan for reducing unwanted behaviours and build healthier ways of coping. Presentations I work with often include addiction, childhood trauma, separation & divorce, parental issues, self-esteem, grief & loss, family violence, anxiety, depression and anger management.

The approaches I enjoy using include acceptance & commitment therapy (ACT), emotionally focused therapy (EFT), gestalt, mindfulness-based interventions and motivational interviewing techniques to initiate action. However, my approach will always be guided by and based on your individual needs and values. I hold a Bachelor's degree in both psychology and counselling, which gives me insight into the science of how people think, feel, behave and the skills to apply this to you as a unique person.

Since leaving my previous role as a senior drug & alcohol counsellor I've been busy growing my private practice on the Bellarine Peninsula, 30min out from Geelong. On a personal note, I enjoy practicing daily meditation, living by Buddhist values of acceptance and openness, and reading about Buddhist psychology... all amongst a house full of plants! These interests keep me engaged in life, so I can continue to deliver the best possible support for my clients.

You'll notice I offer after-hours, weekend, and last-minute appointments - so feel free to send me a message!
I really look forward to working with you.
