About me

My practice
I am a Certified Practicing Counsellor who focuses on how a client’s life has shaped their unique view of the world. This is the professional curiosity which motivates me to work with a diverse range of clients, across various life stages and support clients experiencing adjustments, transitions, and changes—whether resulting from personal decisions or unexpected life events. I also work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, grief and loss, illness, bullying, and loneliness, and to make sense of these challenges. Lastly, I have a special interest in supporting all people and family members in the journey of gender, sexuality and personal expression, and have received training from ACON and Headspace to support the specific mental health needs of the LGBTQIA community. My therapeutic approach is Humanistic, and includes professional development in Existential Psychotherapy and Philosophy, Psychodynamic-Interpersonal Therapy and Solution Focused Brief Therapy. With my client as the expert in their life, I help guide them toward increased self-compassion, resourcefulness, and meaningful introspection to facilitate positive changes in emotions, thoughts, actions, and behaviours.
