About me

My practice
Hi! I’m Jess and I’m here to be able to assist you to live your best life. I say that partially joking, but I am here to work with individuals who want to have a deeper understanding of themselves and their behaviours.

I want to help you to enrich your life and have the life you have always wanted. Together we will foster your self-awareness, explore your goals and dreams and unlock your full potential to create lasting and meaningful change.

While therapy can sometimes feel impersonal and clinical, my approach is warm, engaging, and tailored to your unique needs. I work with adults of all ages, addressing a variety of concerns and challenges that appear in our lives. Whether you're dealing with relationship issues, anxiety, self-esteem, or simply seeking personal growth, my goal is to create a supportive and collaborative environment. Together, we’ll explore your experiences and work towards meaningful and lasting change.

As a qualified counsellor with a Bachelor of Counselling and registration with both the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) and the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA), I specialize in providing compassionate and effective counselling services to individuals facing a range of challenges.

I have a person centred, trauma informed strengths based approach to counselling. I use evidence-based approaches to counselling, blending a range of therapeutic modalities including mindfulness, psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), positive psychology, solution-focused therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), and attachment and trauma-focused therapy.

On a personal level I love to connect with my clients, meeting new people every day and learning about their lives gets me out of bed and energises me throughout the day. I absolutely love my job and it is an honour and privilege to be able to speak with different people about their lives and help them grow and change.

Counselling with me is always going to be client led, you are the expert in your own life and I am here to help and assist you with whatever you want to talk about. My counselling room is a space where we can talk about heavy topics, but it doesn’t always have to be gloomy and dark. If you’re looking for a counsellor that is warm, engaging and will crack a joke or two as well as help you build the life you want, I’m your girl.

If I sound like someone you’d like to work with, you can book an appointment by emailing jwtherapy.com.au or calling 0426949772.

Let's embark on this journey towards a more fulfilling and empowered life.
