About me

My practice
My practice is humanistic at its core which means I treat people with respect, compassion and care whilst also incorporating evidence based therapies. My approach values the innate wisdom you have within yourself to heal, grow and make sense of your life. I work with sensitivity and collaboration and I offer a safe space within which you can distill your needs and work toward your goals, integrating your life experiences as you go. I lead with the idea that the way in which you show up in therapy is a unique expression of your humanity.

Life can be challenging and prioritising your mental and emotional health through psychotherapy and counselling provides a space for you to attend to yourself, with support, to build self-awareness and resiliency. Starting therapy can be daunting and an act of commitment and kindness toward yourself and your relationships. I endeavour to make that first step as comfortable as possible through transparency and authenticity.

I work with individuals and couples over short and long term and I provide a safe and validating therapeutic space where you can safely take risks and make lasting changes.

I welcome everyone and my clinical experience has included working with depression, anxiety, grief, abuse, eating disorders, substance abuse, trauma, PTSD and CPTSD, motherhood (matrescence), parenting, life transitions, early attachment issues, shame, self harm and suicidal feelings, low self-esteem/confidence, relationship problems, sex problems and work related stress.

I bring fifteen years of clinical experience to my practice and I have worked with clients and held accreditations in both the U.K. and in Canada.
