About me

My practice
I work with adults who are stuck — people who can sense that something keeps getting in the way, but haven't been able to work out what it is or shift it. That might be a long-standing pattern that keeps recurring, a sense of self that has been upended by illness, recovery, or major life change, questions of gender and sexuality that haven't had space to be properly explored, or a sense of being wired differently in a world that wasn't built with you in mind. My work focuses on helping people understand where their difficulties actually come from, and then moving through that toward a life that feels more meaningful.
My background is in alcohol and other drug services, both residential and community. I draw on Schema Therapy, CBT, and ACT, and I'm comfortable with complexity — dual diagnosis, trauma, identity disruption, long-standing patterns that haven't responded to other approaches. This is territory I know something about from my own life, and I bring that to the work.
I'm also a Buddhist nun. I don't bring a spiritual agenda to sessions. What it does mean is genuine, sustained attention, non-judgement toward suffering in all its forms, and a solid conviction that change is possible — for everyone.
I see clients at The Place Within in West End. I don't offer Medicare rebates.
