About me

My practice
Lexi is an integrative and holistic counsellor passionate about helping young people and their families. Lexi has over a decade of experience with young people and adults from a trauma-informed lens. She works alongside clients on their journeys to help them develop understanding and meaning, and process experiences from different perspectives that enable practical steps forward for change.

Lexi’s work is grounded in her pragmatism, ability to listen and genuine desire to support her clients towards empowerment. She utilises person-centred, strengths-based, and humanistic approaches to create a warm, safe, non-judgmental, and nurturing environment. Lexi is able to work with young people who are ambivalent or unmotivated to change and excels at supporting young people in finding their inner power and desire to seek the lives they want to live.

Lexi uses techniques from a variety of different treatment disciplines and tailors her approach according to the client’s needs. Her warm and direct approach is suited to clients looking for help in navigating experiences of friendship challenges, anxiety, depression, behaviour challenges, emotional regulation, trauma, grief and loss, study stress, and self-esteem.

Lexi's work draws upon a range of therapeutic approaches from evidence-based modalities including, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Schema Therapy, and Solutions Focused Therapy.
