* Certified Practicing PACFA members have studied at AQF Level 7 (Bachelor degree) or above, with a minimum of 400 hours instruction in counselling or psychotherapy subjects, plus have a minimum of 40 hours client contact, and 10 hours of supervision.

My practice
Monika is a Clinical Psychotherapist, Counsellor and EMDR Therapist specialising in child & adolescent development, mental health and trauma from pre-birth into adulthood.

She combines over 15 years of experience and qualifications to offer specialised assessments and therapy to vulnerable children, adolescents, and adults. She has worked across a wide range of government, health, education, and not for profit organisations alongside running her own private clinic in London, UK .

She has a Masters in Integrative Child & Adolescent Psychotherapy and Counselling, full training EMDR with children and adults (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing). She completed extensive training in the field of attachment, relationships, trauma, child development and parenting. She also completed internationally recognised training in Therapeutic Life Story Work with Richard Rose.

She holds a full clinical registration with PACFA (Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia), ARCAP (The Australian Register of Counsellors and Psychotherapists), BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) and EMDR Association of Europe . She is a member of Therapeutic Life Story Work International, Children & Nature Network and has current a Working with Children Check clearance for NSW and a Blue Card for QLD.

She is a trauma informed and neurodivergent affirming therapist and is deeply aware that the story we each bring to therapy is unique. She is passionate about creating a safe and nurturing space that enables her clients, regardless of age, to find their own voice and live an authentic, fulfilling life.
She believes that through having a safe space to explore our stories, feelings, thoughts, and embodied communication, we can transform this awareness into energy that supports our personal growth and connection to people and the world around us.

These ideas are underpinned by her knowledge of the neuroscience of emotional, somatic, and psychological healing whilst also taking into consideration her client’s age, cultural and ethnic origins, as well as religious beliefs, sexual orientation, and reasons for referral.

Monika offers in person therapy, online therapy/telehealth. She can also offer outdoor/nature based (“walk- and talk”) sessions in Kingscliff to adult clients.
