About me

My practice
I'm a qualified Clinical Counsellor in private practice, a Registered NDIS Provider for Counselling, an Approved Clinical Counsellor working under the Victims Services Scheme (NSW) and an Approved Clinical Counsellor working under the Employee Assistance Program (EAP). I am located in East Maitland in the Hunter Valley region of NSW. I offer face to face, telephone and online counselling services. I have a Bachelor of Applied Social Science (Counselling) and many years of complex Mental Health experience. My expertise includes, but is not limited to, working with clients struggling with low self-esteem and low self-confidence. This may be in relation to life situations including anxiety and depression, social isolation, relationship issues, grief and loss, weight issues, pain and illness, PTSD and other traumas. I have lived experience in many of these areas and as a woman, a wife and a mother, I have successfully set forth through my own journey of self-discovery. My passion has always been about helping others to overcome their life stresses and find a sense of equilibrium in their lives, so that they can manage everyday life challenges. My approach with my clients includes being present with them in their space, displaying a high level of empathy and understanding which will in turn bring about trust and confidence in the therapeutic relationship, thus setting the client up with the skill set to create long lasting positive change in their lives.
