About me

My practice
Lara Wise is an experienced counsellor and family & relationship therapist, who also works as a trainer and supervisor. Lara aims to work collaboratively with clients to support their desired changes, amidst the challenges they seek to overcome or move through. She has a particular passion to support & challenge people to learn the art of facilitating safe, secure & emotionally available connections with each other, & offers hope that things can change. Lara has a heart for those who have experienced trauma &/or complex grief, including experience working with people affected (directly & indirectly) by alcohol & other drugs. She has experience working with people encountering a wide range of mental health and other life challenges and offers experiential strategies & insights. Lara aims to open up space for clients to pause, reflect and process (cognitively, emotionally, spiritually, and/or somatically), as required.
