My practice
I’m a fully trained counselling psychotherapist offering private individual and couples therapy—short- or long-term. My background spans Psychodynamic therapy, CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), and integrative couples therapy models. I also specialise in treating Neurodiverse clients through DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy), with a client-positive framework that embraces uniqueness rather than pathologising difference.
It’s often hard to find a space to reflect. I offer a secure, confidential, non-judgemental environment where we work together, patiently, at your pace. That first step toward counselling can feel daunting—I’ll support you however I can. I'm trained in online therapy and a professional member of ACTO (Association for Counselling and Therapy Online) and a clinical member of BACP (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy). I work globally via Telehealth.
I focus on clients who’ve experienced trauma—past or present—and those struggling to find meaning or stability in relationships. Therapy can be a transformative space. I’ve seen individuals go from fearful, self-doubting and stuck in unhealthy patterns, to confident, self-assured, and grounded in clarity and purpose.
Individual Therapy Some of the areas I work with: bereavement, bullying, career change, crisis, depression, anxiety, negative thought patterns, motivation issues, low self-worth, indecision, anger, addiction, emotional abuse, physical health issues, HIV and advanced HIV, family dynamics, identity concerns, LGBT+ issues, sexuality, migration/diaspora, serious illness, self-sabotage, sexual abuse, substance misuse, trauma and psychosis.
Couples Therapy Even strong relationships go through rough patches. From miscommunication and unmet emotional needs to the strain of daily life, therapy offers couples a path to reconnect and realign. Seeking help isn’t failure—it’s a commitment to growth, courage, and mutual care.
Relationships & Partners Therapy Contemporary relationships come in many forms—polyamory, open partnerships, chosen families. I support clients in navigating communication, boundaries, trust, evolving identities, and consent-driven agreements. Therapy can deepen clarity and help foster mutual understanding across all relationship structures.
About Me Originally from Ireland, I moved to the UK in my 20s, working for the Civil Service before retraining in psychotherapy. Over the past decade, I’ve practised in London, including with an LGBTQIA+ charity, before relocating to Tasmania in 2023.
My approach integrates social science and existential philosophy. I pay close attention to how unseen systems, modern life, and inherited narratives impact our psychological wellbeing. These ideas shape my practice—not by overwhelming it, but by helping clients reclaim agency and emotional clarity in a world that often feels impersonal.
