About me

My practice
Over the past 25 years I have honed my experience by embracing a wide range of counselling areas, including, but not limited to, drug and alcohol, carers, mental health, domestic violence, family and relationships, elderly and dementia, intellectual disabilities, crisis and suicide prevention, PTSD, grief and loss, career and life issues, severe mental health disorders, addictions, depression and anxiety, homelessness and sexual orientation, to name a few. The variety of people I have worked with is far ranging – from farmers to captains of industry – everyone needs support at some stage. I have trained within these areas as well as obtaining my Counselling Degree, Diploma and Clinical Supervision qualifications and continue to embrace learning and research as an ongoing opportunity to offer clients the best practice.

My roles have included working with groups as well as facilitating educational models for adults and children to further enhance and match the needs of the presenting clients. My sessions have been both formal and informal and provide excellent supports for people who feel isolated in their situation, benefit from a sympathetic and safe environment whilst learning, finding solutions and gaining personal empowerment.

As a counsellor I offer authentic compassionate, insightful and challenging support to my clients, understanding the past and present need not dictate the future.
