My practice
Jenny Walter is a highly skilled and effective counsellor and member of the Psychotherapy & Counselling Federation of Australia. Jenny has a wealth of knowledge from her many years experience in private practice, as well as a lecturer to undergraduate counselling students. Jenny provides insightful counselling support to adults, couples and families at her private practice in Manly.

Jenny values the importance of empowering her clients to truly make genuine and long-lasting changes to better their lives and relationships. This is done through the power and recognition of choice, and learning ways to be successful in your change with Jenny’s effective guidance. Jenny believes that counselling is about healing and growth and she can assist you to discover your best life choices and flourish.

Life is not always simple and straightforward. Learning strategies and how to cope with life’s challenges will allow you to face life with confidence and trust in your capacity to deal with what has been and what lies ahead.

Jenny believes that we are all unique and complex. Therefore each session with Jenny is tailored to meet the clients’ personal therapeutic needs. Jenny incorporates many contemporary, evidence based models of counselling into her practice, including: Humanistic Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy and Trauma-Informed Therapy. Jenny is competent and trusted in helping her clients address a wide variety of issues and truly express who they are, to live a deeply satisfying life.
