About me

My practice
I am an experienced Counsellor providing therapy services to adults, adolescents and couples. Sessions can take place in person in Melbourne or through Zoom, also to country Australia and overseas clients. I am a native English speaker, but am also fluent in French.
I hold a Master in Counselling degree from Monash University, am fully trained in EMDR Therapy with the EMDR Institute of Australia & New Zealand and have completed level 1 training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy. I am committed to lifelong learning and regular professional development.
I am a level 4 member of the Australian Counselling Association and registered as a Clinical Counsellor with PACFA.
I am a mother of 4 grown up children and have spent the past 30 years living and working in the UK, Europe, Asia and Australia. After working in the corporate world, then in education, I retrained as a Counsellor to better put to use my extensive experience of people in different walks of life and of life’s challenges.
I aim to understand my clients’ unique circumstances and to support them in the process of growth and development. With guidance, clients learn to examine their thoughts and emotions with honesty; leading to greater self-awareness and the possibility of making measurable improvements to their lives. This could be in terms of more satisfying and peaceful relationships with others, or it could be about tempering the negative and judgmental thoughts one has about oneself. I use a range of therapeutic interventions; Person-Centred, Family Systems, Couples Therapy, Existential, EMDR Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy.
