About me

My practice
At Finding Wellbeing, we focus on Art Therapy and creative methods in counselling and psychotherapy. Our master's-trained Art Therapists support individuals of all ages with mental health challenges, disability, neurodivergence, trauma, and more.

We are a team of 4 and can see clients on weekdays and weekends and also provide home visits in inner-north, outer-north and north-west of Melbourne.

About Alana Stewart,
director and lead therapist of Finding Wellbeing Art Therapy & Counselling:

As an Art Therapist and Counsellor, I am committed to providing a person-centered, empathetic, and inclusive therapeutic environment. I work from the Yellow Gum Art Therapy Studio with therapy dog, Evie, who loves greeting new clients and comforting them during sessions. Experienced in helping clients navigate through the challenges of depression, anxiety, PTSD, disability, autism, and complex trauma. I bring a unique perspective informed by my own experiences with neurodivergence.

My therapuetic approach is grounded in humanistic and person-centered psychotherapy, focusing on being neuro-affirming and trauma-informed. With Art Therapy, I facilitate self-expression and discovery through art, aiding in communication and emotional exploration, all without the need for any prior art skills.
