My practice
Amanda Florence AThR, MA (La Trobe), BA (Hons) (UAL, London UK), PgDip (VCA), is a PACFA registered clinical counsellor & ANZACATA professional registered Creative Arts therapist and approved supervisor offering individual psychotherapy. She has 14 years community and clinical work experience with arts and mental health. Amanda works psychodynamically using a person-centered, humanistic and trauma informed approach which draws from a wide evidence base. By developing a safe non threatening creative environment she is able to support individuals to explore and gain personal insight. An arts therapy session is focussed on the artistic process and requires no previous art skills. Amanda is committed to facilitating creative growth which can help develop psychological insight, emotional inner resources and capacity.
