About me

My practice
My clinical work is underpinned by academic and clinical training, continued study, supervision, life experience and my own long-term analysis. I am committed to helping people recover from internal psychic pain in order to enjoy a deeper sense of themselves and their relationships.
Over the last ten years I have worked in psychiatric facilities, drug and alcohol rehabilitation clinics, eating disorder clinics, schools, NSW Corrective Services and in various clinical settings.
I have a particular interest in attachment relationships and relational trauma from the perspective of interpersonal neurobiology. My work is strongly informed by post Jungian psychology, the Conversational Model of Psychotherapy, Object Relations, Self-Psychology and Relational psychotherapy.
I work with you by exploring your relational patterns, to help you to better understand your inner life and the dynamics you bring to relating with others. Together, we will safely examine repetitive behavioural and relational patterns that exist in your life- patterns that have led to dissatisfying, and or, broken relationships.
The primary emphasis on our work together is to provide you with a space to gain deeper insight into your experiences, behaviours and relationships. You begin to observe your feelings, thoughts, behaviours and your relationships in an increasingly different light. This awareness provides the opportunity for integration and processing of past and current experiences, enabling you to make decisions that enhance your life.
