I have been working in private practice and in various community services for over 30yrs as a psychotherapist & counsellor. I have a Bachelor of Applied Science in OT, a Diploma in Adult Psychotherapy, and I am a certified TCTSY -F (Trauma Centre Trauma Sensitive yoga Facilitator). I have completed intensive trainings in the following therapeutic modalities which help address a range of needs and personal preferences - Internal Family Systems/IFS Therapist; Sensorimotor Psychotherapy/SP Practitioner; Self-Psychology (ANZAP). I have specialised in working with people recovering from complex trauma (childhood abuse & neglect, domestic violence), adult trauma (sexual assault, family violence, war related trauma), attachment/developmental trauma, and Perinatal Well-being issues (including PND, perinatal anxiety, adjustment to parenthood, traumatic birth). I have a deep respect for the wisdom of the body together with a respectful acknowledgement of the importance of choice in fostering a client's sense of empowerment in their healing.
