About me

My practice
It takes a great degree of courage to take this step, so well done for exploring options, and to help you, here is a little bit about me.
What I bring to the therapy room is over 18 years’ experience as a counsellor and family therapist working within both a local non-government funded service and private practice.
What I can tell you about myself is that I am a passionate and committed advocate for supporting families in the local community who are experiencing complex challenges within day to day life. I always seek to demonstrate a high level of professional understanding and skills across a wide range of counselling and family therapy contexts. My experience over the years has been working with children, adolescent, couples, individuals, families and group facilitation. In all areas of practice, I am committed to showing empathy and understanding for clients who have taken this step and will work collaboratively to achieve the best possible outcome for those who choose to come into the therapy room with me. Clients have often said about me “Teresa provides a hopeful and safe space while trying to navigate often complex and challenging situations”.

I have an Italian background, am a mother of 3 adult children and now a Nona (grandmother) for the first time.
My counselling days are Monday - Thursday.
