Lakshmi is a trauma-informed Counsellor and Psychotherapist working with adolescents and adults experiencing a broad range of mental health concerns, including complex presentations. Her practice is grounded in person-centred, recovery-oriented, and evidence-based care, providing a warm, collaborative, and inclusive therapeutic space where clients can safely explore their experiences, strengthen resilience, and work towards meaningful, values-led change.
Lakshmi supports clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), ADHD and neurodivergence, eating disorders and body image concerns, mood disorders, psychosis-spectrum experiences, personality-related difficulties, emotional dysregulation, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, gender dysphoria, and major life transitions.
She has particular experience working alongside LGBTQIA+ and gender-diverse communities, culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities, people living with disability, adolescents and young adults, people experiencing alcohol and other drug (AOD) concerns, sex workers, and individuals living with complex and enduring mental health challenges. Lakshmi is committed to providing culturally responsive, gender-affirming, and inclusive care that recognises each person's unique strengths, identity, and lived experience.
Her integrative practice draws on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Attachment-Based Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, psychosomatic-informed approaches, and person-centred counselling. Therapy is thoughtfully tailored to each client's individual goals, strengths, and circumstances, with a strong focus on fostering self-understanding, resilience, psychological flexibility, and lasting wellbeing.
