About me

My practice
I am a Dance Movement Therapist working from a trauma-informed, neuroaffirming and person-centred framework. My practice honours each client’s individuality, lived experience and capacity for growth. I integrate principles from the Early Start Denver Model and play-based therapy, with a particular focus on early intervention for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD and Intellectual Disability. Through movement, rhythm and creative play, I support sensory regulation, emotional expression, gross motor development, social engagement and foundational play skills.

Dance Movement Therapy, grounded in body awareness, is highly effective for addressing trauma and emotional or physiological dysregulation. By enhancing agency, interoceptive awareness and embodied understanding, it allows clients to express emotions symbolically—especially when verbal expression is limited or overwhelming.

I also provide support to clients in aged care settings, including individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and chronic health conditions. My sessions focus on maintaining mobility, fostering connection, reducing agitation and improving overall wellbeing through gentle movement and creative embodied activities.

Beyond these specialist areas, I work with clients of all ages who present with emotional distress, trauma histories, anxiety, depression, or challenges in self-regulation and identity. I aim to create a safe, collaborative and non-judgmental therapeutic space where clients can explore their inner world at their own pace. Through the integration of creative expression, somatic awareness and reflective dialogue, I support individuals to build resilience, deepen self-understanding, and develop healthier ways of relating to themselves and others.
