My practice
Hi there :) Thank you for stopping by. My name is Carolyn and I am a Counsellor and Clinical Supervisor based in the beautiful Adelaide Hills. At Grace Counselling and Education I provide sensitive, caring and confidential counselling for children, young people and their families. I work together with your child or young person with your family. As the adults you become co-therapists and co-facilitators of healing for your family. I seek to understand your story and to journey with you. My goal is to provide a safe environment to explore and make meaning what you and your family are experiencing and together find hope and healing. My focus is on supporting you as a family and to heal from experiences of grief, loss, change and trauma. My specialty area is working with developmental and complex relational trauma, loss and grief and traumatic grief. Restoring safety, especially relational safety is the first phase of intervention, followed by learning supportive and healing strategies.
I will respect you and seek to understand your story and to journey with you. I aim to provide a safe environment for you to talk about what you and your family are experiencing, to help express feelings through creative ways and to make meaning of the situation. I understand this may take time and know there is no time limit on supporting you.
