About me

My practice
Sharne Kilsby is a trauma‑informed Counsellor, Clinical Supervisor, and Senior Consultant who supports individuals, couples, and emerging practitioners across Australia and internationally. Since 2018, she has provided compassionate, evidence‑informed counselling for people seeking help with trauma recovery, narcissistic abuse recovery, anxiety, and relationship challenges. Her approach is warm, grounded, and relational, creating a safe space where clients feel understood and supported.

Sharne specialises in helping clients rebuild their sense of self after trauma, strengthen emotional wellbeing, and develop healthier patterns in relationships. She offers relationship counselling informed by Gottman Method Couples Therapy and Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) Tapping to support emotional regulation and healing. Her work is guided by ethical, reflective, and trauma‑aware principles, ensuring clients receive care that is attuned, respectful, and empowering.

As a Clinical Supervisor, Sharne provides individual supervision for counselling students, recent graduates, and ACA members. She uses the RISE UP Supervision Model, supporting reflective practice, ethical decision‑making, skill development, and practitioner wellbeing. She helps supervisees navigate complex client work, build confidence, and develop a strong professional identity.

Sharne is a Level 4 Member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA), a Clinical Member of PACFA, and a member of the ACA College of Supervisors. She holds a Bachelor of Counselling, Level 2 Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and Level 2 Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) Tapping.

Sharne is the Senior Consultant for South Australia with Empatia EAP, a Brokered Counsellor for Carers SA, and a contracted provider with Uprise EAP. Sharne has facilitated group sessions for Populi Solutions and has delivered Professional Development Training within schools. She offers accessible online counselling and supervision to clients and practitioners across Australia.

At the heart of her work is a belief in the power of safe, attuned connection to support healing, clarity, and growth.
