About me

My practice
I have specialist training in couple and relationship therapy and am passionate about working with couples. As an impartial and caring third party in the therapy room I facilitate bringing difficult issues into an open, safe and supportive environment.

As a psychotherapist I provide a space for people to discuss, understand and resolve problematic life issues.

I'm trained in Emotion Focused Therapy and also draw from other practical, skills-based resources such as the Gottman Institute’s methods.

I view a healthy relationship as one where individuals are mutually supportive of one another, can grow together and create their own unique and great partnership.

I can help raise awareness of how to stay close and connected and provide tools to help weather the inevitable challenges.

An online couple questionnaire is often recommended via the Gottman Institute which highlights the strengths in a couple’s relationship and also the areas needing improvement. The assessment is a valuable resource in the therapy process.

I work with couples who:
- desire better communication and relationship satisfaction
- are wishing to develop and expand their emotional and sexual intimacy
- want to feel more supported by one another and align their goals in life and relationship
- wish to explore issues before committing to living together, marriage , or starting a family
- have parenting issues
- are trying to manage conflict
- are caught in unhelpful negative patterns and feeling distant and distressed,
- are dealing with infidelity
- are in the process of separation.

I also assists individuals:
- dealing with loss and grief
- with anxiety
- low self-esteem
- work and relationship dissatisfaction
- searching for direction and meaning in life
My therapeutic approach is person-centered, emotion-focused and humanistic.
