About me

My practice
PACFA-registered Clinical Counsellor, Accredited Clinical Supervisor with an unrivalled understanding of hospital workplace culture.

As the Founder Natalie Harman Pty Ltd, Natalie delivers tailored wellbeing programs in hospital workplaces which include individual counselling and coaching to equip doctors with the tools needed to move beyond survival to thriving.

Natalie’s trauma-informed clinical approach and deep understanding of hospital environments enables her to integrate several therapeutic techniques that are tailored to meet the individual needs of both the client and department. These include but are not limited to EMDR, CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, mindfulness-based somatic therapies, compassion-focused therapy, and solution-focused wellbeing coaching.

Natalie Harman has a proven track record working with ED, ICU, NICU, O&G, and Radiology units at several busy Sydney teaching hospitals.

With 15 years of expertise and experience honed within the corporate world, the UK’s NHS system and a further eight years with NSW Health, she is highly skilled with a deep knowledge of today’s complex hospital working environments. Natalie intimately understands the specific workplace demands, stressors and environments that critical care doctors operate in.

Natalie Harman’s programs address specific challenges for doctors that include shift work, work-life integration, direct and vicarious exposure to trauma, chronic stress, moral injury and career and exam anxiety. Additionally, Natalie supports doctors to navigate workplace conflict and hierarchical cultures which can compound their feelings of challenge and impact their levels of professional satisfaction and personal and family lives.

Natalie Harman is adept at building psychologically safe spaces that engender trust and proactively address both individual wellbeing and workplace cultures.
