About me

My practice
Often people think of loss and grief only in relation to the death of a loved one. However there are many other losses we mourn: the loss of a job, a long-held dream, our own health, a valued role we have had, moving home, moving to residential care, our last child moving out, or watching a loved one with dementia progress in their illness. All losses are painful, all need support and understanding.
I work from the perspective that each person is whole, individual and worthy of respect, care and a safe place to be listened to, so they can explore their grief in their own time and way. The grieving person is not broken, they do not need to be fixed. They are more than their loss; and time, care and support will help them reconnect to the core of who they are.
