About me

My practice
I hold a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Sydney and have completed a Graduate Certificate in Counselling Skills (2011) and a Graduate Diploma of Counselling (2017) through the Australian College of Applied Professions (ACAP). I am currently undertaking a eight-month placement at the GROW Program in West Hoxton, where I am gaining experience supporting individuals in an Alcohol and Other Drug residential community. This placement forms part of my Master of Counselling and Psychotherapy, which I expect to complete in August 2026.

I originally trained in medicine, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine in China in 1989. With experience living in Argentina and learning in Spanish, as well as holding Argentinian and Australian citizenships, I bring a culturally informed and inclusive perspective to my work. I have lived in Australia since 2000 and value supporting clients from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, including those navigating migration and cross-cultural experiences.

I always make sure to offer a warm, respectful, and culturally responsive space where clients can feel safe to explore their concerns. I work with individuals and families experiencing relationship challenges, parenting concerns, and the complexities of migration, adaptation, and acculturation. I also support clients with anxiety, depression, anger management, and issues related to self-esteem and self-care.
