My practice
Fahad is a counsellor, family therapist, and clinical supervisor with over 10 years of experience. Based in Djilang (Geelong) on unceded Wadawurrung Country, Fahad has worked as a counsellor in both Pakistan and Australia. They have worked in multiple community health organizations and specialize in supporting survivors of family violence and sexual assault. Fahad offers individual and family therapy to LGBTIQA+ clients, People of Colour (PoC), migrants, and individuals from refugee or asylum-seeking backgrounds.

Fahad’s family therapy work is dedicated to helping survivors of family violence heal from trauma by fostering mutual support within the family. By creating a safe and trusting environment, Fahad enables family members to understand and address their trauma together. This collaborative approach emphasizes the importance of each member’s role in the healing process, encouraging open communication, empathy, and shared resilience. Through tailored therapeutic modalities, Fahad guides families in rebuilding their relationships and overcoming the impacts of violence, ensuring that each member feels heard, valued, and supported.

Creating safety, building trust, deconstructing power dynamics, challenging patriarchy, and working with intersectionality are central to Fahad’s practice.
