About me

My practice
Working on body image can feel MESSY. I welcome the mess - in fact, all the messy, scary, 'not enough' feelings are welcome here. Rather than fight them, let's try to understand them. I work with a range of holistic, non-pathologising and anti-oppressive frameworks within counselling. I work collaboratively to make sense of your physical and emotional experiences, and unpack ideas about bodies and worth. I have thorough and ongoing training in weight concerns and eating disorders, and we can explore the evidence base behind HAES if you want to - but my focus will always be on connecting with your own internal wisdom.

I am informed by social justice, critical mental health theory, and the principles of Liberatory Harm Reduction, Intuitive Eating, Health At Every Size (HAES), Fat Liberation, and Body Trust. All bodies and identities are welcome.

I work in my practice Make Space Counselling or at social enterprise Rough Patch. Rough Patch provides affordable counselling to those who would otherwise be unable to access private therapy. To find out which service may be better suited to you, feel free to contact me via email or check out Rough Patch's website www.roughpatchcounselling.com.
