About me

My practice
As an accomplished Counsellor (PACFA) and Social Worker (AASW), I am passionate about creating authentic therapeutic relationships that empower individuals to overcome challenges and realise their full potential. With a rich academic background, including a Bachelor of Social Science (Criminal Justice), Graduate Diploma of Counselling, Master of Counselling & Psychotherapy, and a Master of Social Work (Qualifying) with merit, I bring a diverse skill set to my practice.

My therapeutic approach is grounded in structured psychotherapy interventions that are evidence-based and informed by the latest peer-reviewed research, tailoring sessions to the unique needs of each client. I believe in the inherent potential within every individual and utilise a strength-based approach to help clients identify and harness their innate strengths. I do this through a person-centred lens and a solution-focused framework. By collaboratively developing personalised plans, I guide clients through their journeys toward holistic healing and growth to reach desired clinical outcomes.

I specialise in trauma-informed care, addressing issues such as PTSD, single incident/complex trauma, general and social anxiety, depression, grief and loss, phobias, personal and career development, assertiveness training, life direction/transition, confidence building, motivation, self-esteem, stress reduction, anger management, pain management, addiction, and relationship challenges. My experience spans both management and hands-on roles within the allied health sector, allowing me to effectively navigate the complexities of client care while developing a positive and supportive therapeutic environment.

I am committed to creating a safe space where clients feel validated and heard, regardless of their backgrounds. This focus on trust and empathy enables deeper exploration of thoughts, feelings, and emotions, leading to profound insights and transformation. In my spare time, I engage in activities that promote health and wellness, and I enjoy exploring new interests. My goal as a Counsellor and Social Worker is to facilitate meaningful change and empower individuals to thrive, leveraging both my professional expertise and personal experiences.
