About me

My practice
I am a longterm counsellor (20 plus years) and clinical supervisor (15 plus years) with a passion for supporting clients and supervisees to be the best they can be. I have been a PACFA member since 2008. I am also an Approved Counsellor for NSW Victim Support Services.
I have many years experience which includes support for individual clients experiencing the impact of childhood and adult sexual abuse. I have also walked alongside individuals working through post separation complexities and other life challenges. These include focussed support for victim-survivors of domestic and family violence. I work with a trauma-informed, relational, person-centred, empathic, non-judgemental approach where I see the therapeutic relationship as foundational to effective outcomes for clients and supervisees. My framework also includes a systemic lens, an attachment focus and emotion/somatic interventions.
My practice has been mainly in agency roles with time also as a private counsellor and supervisor. For the past 10 years the trauma informed focus and experience I have had has led to enhanced skills and a deepening of my work, underpinning my support and empowerment of counselling supervisees across a wide range of client work.
I have provided training in Group facilitation and also RTO counsellor training.
