Tania is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (AASW), Accredited Social Worker (AASW), Registered Clinical Counsellor (PACFA) and an Accredited Supervisor (PACFA, AAOS), whose extensive professional experience, of 25+ years, spans the breadth of Social Work fields of practice, private practice and tertiary education. Tania holds the following qualifications: M.A.Res, BSW, B.A.SocSci (Hons), B.A. SocSci, Cert Supervision, Cert IV TAE. Tania maintains a Private Practice for 20+ years with a focus on Supervision [Individual, Group & Organisational], Therapeutic Groupwork, Project Work, and Counselling.
Tania draws from a critically reflective approach and person-centered framework, her practice experience includes: counselling, complex case-management, research, project work, casework, therapeutic group-work, supervision, community development, and consultancy across a breadth of scopes of practice: child & family, aged care & older persons, disability, carers issues, palliative care, mental health & wellbeing, bereavement, death & dying, chronic illness, family violence, settlement and migration, grief & loss, and trauma across the lifespan.
Tania brings a holistic, person-centered, relational, intersectional and existential approach to a range of evidence-based theoretical and therapeutic approaches including: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Trauma-Informed Approaches, Narrative Therapy, Family-Systems Therapy, Sand-Tray work, Mindfulness and Compassion-Focused Therapies, Strengths-Based & Anti-Oppressive Approaches,
Tania approaches her work with clients as a partnership, supporting them to better understand their strengths and the challenges they are experiencing, whilst facilitating and creating a safe therapeutic space. Tania works with a spirit of transparency, respect, compassion and hope, whilst incorporating a person-centered, culturally-sensitive and holistic framework at all times.
